How to enter the Time to Write 2026 Creative Writing Competition

Please note that Time to Write is a writing competition for schools. All entries must be submitted by schools. If you are a parent or tutor, please talk to the entrant's school about submitting their entry.

Schools must enter their pupils' submissions into the Time to Write creative writing competition through a dedicated Time to Write account. Follow these steps to create your school's acccount and submit your entries.

1) Read the entry information, as well as the competition terms and conditions, on the Time to Write Entry page.

2) Visit the Time to Write Entry Area for Schools on the ISEB website, and scroll down to find the Time to Write 2026 School Account Registration Form and the Time to Write Competition Entry Form, which will be locked until you log into your account.

3) Complete the Time to Write 2026 School Account Registration Form and create your account. Please note that Time to Write 2026 School Accounts must be created with an email address that is not already associated with an ISEB School Account for the website or online shop.

4) Log into your Time to Write account. Once you have created your account, you will immediately be able to log in, and you will be redirected to the Time to Write Entry Area, where you will be able to access the Entry Form and start submitting entries.

5) Complete the online entry form for each pupil you are entering separately, populating all requested fields. You will need to enter your name as the school representative entering the pupil. The section about your school will pre-populate, so you don’t have to enter this information into the form each time you enter a pupil.

6) Review your Time to Write 2026 entries. When logged in to your account, you can access your Time to Write 2026 School Account dashboard by clicking on the person icon in the bottom left corner of your screen (on desktop) or the top of your screen (on mobile). Go to the section called ‘PUPIL ENTRIES’ to review your entries.
